Market
Access

We connect Mizoram's farmer collectives to buyers, platforms, and export channels - turning production into income.

ABPM bridges the gap between what Mizoram's farmers produce and where it gets sold. We provide market intelligence, buyer connections, cluster development, and branding support - helping FPOs access state markets, national platforms like ONDC, GeM Portal and in some cases, export opportunities. We work across commodities: tea, organic produce, horticulture, poultry and processed goods.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

Our Market Access Support Services

01

Buyer Linkage

ABPM connects FPOs directly to buyers - retailers, processors, wholesalers, and institutional purchasers - through its network built across Mizoram, Northeast India and beyond. We facilitate introductions, negotiate terms and help formalise purchase agreements.

02

E-NAM & Digital Platforms

We register and onboard FPOs onto e-NAM (National Agriculture Market) and other digital trading platforms - enabling farmers to access transparent, competitive pricing and trade beyond local mandis without intermediaries.

03

Cluster Development

We organise geographically adjacent FPOs and farmer groups into production clusters - creating aggregated supply volumes large enough to attract institutional buyers, reduce logistics costs and improve collective bargaining power.

04

Branding & Packaging

ABPM supports FPOs in developing product identity - from basic packaging and labelling that meets retail standards to full brand development for premium products like Mizoram organic tea, honey, and spices sold under a collective brand.

Export Channel Support

For FPOs producing export-quality goods - particularly organic produce and specialty teas - ABPM facilitates introductions to export aggregators, assists with APEDA registration and helps meet phytosanitary and certification requirements for export markets.

05

06

Market Intelligence

We provide FPOs with practical market data - commodity price trends, buyer requirements, seasonal demand patterns and competitor analysis - so that production decisions are aligned with what the market actually needs.

03

We facilitate the first transaction - managing logistics, documentation, pricing, and payment terms between the FPO and the buyer.

Linkage & Trial

Buyer & Platform Match

Based on the assessment, we identify the best market route - direct buyer, e-NAM, cluster aggregation, Mission Organic, or export channel.

02
01

We assess the FPO's commodity, production volume, quality standards, and existing infrastructure to identify the right market channel.

Commodity Assessment

04

ABPM stays involved - monitoring market relationships, resolving disputes, expanding channel and updating pricing strategies as conditions change.

Real Outcomes from ABPM-Supported FPOs

✓ Market Linked · Mission Organic

Champhai Apiculture & Poultry Farmers Producer Organisation

N. Khawbung, Zotlang & Zote · Champhai District

ABPM supported the Champhai Apiculture & Poultry FPO under NABARD's PODF-ID scheme, helping aggregate produce from three villages into a single collective supply. ABPM identified buyers in Aizawl and facilitated the first formal purchase agreement for honey - establishing a predictable off-take arrangement that gave members income certainty for the first time.

ABPM also connected the FPO to a packaging supplier and supported basic branding for their honey products - which now sells at a 20% premium over unbranded alternatives in local markets.

Before ABPM, we would sell at whatever price the local trader offered. Now we have agreements, we know the price before the season starts.
