Real Outcomes from ABPM-Supported FPOs
✓ Market Linked · Darbilhi FPO
Darbilhi Tea Producer Cooperative Society Ltd.
N. Khawbung, Zotlang & Zote · Champhai District
With the support of Angel Business Promoters of Mizoram (ABPM), Darbilhi Tea Producer Cooperative Society Ltd. has strengthened its production, marketing, and organizational capacity. ABPM supported the establishment of a tea processing factory, enabling the FPO to produce around 8 quintals of processed tea annually, with production steadily increasing. The factory allows tea growers in Darzo village to harvest throughout the year, including the rainy season, while also providing processing services for local households.
To ensure uninterrupted operations, the factory is equipped with a solar power system, which also provides electricity connections to 68 households in Darzo village. ABPM further enhanced the FPO's marketing capacity by facilitating a NABARD-supported Rural Mart, where the FPO sells its tea, other local products, and essential household goods, creating a sustainable source of additional income.
